Jennie and Roberto were married on October 17th. Jenny wore a stunning gown by Platinum from Priscilla of Boston and accessories by Maria Elena. We had the pleasure of outfitting both her maids and her mother in Vineyard Collection. The stunning blooms for the day were provided by Hana Floral Design.

thankful....

After experiencing the loss of Lindsay's mother this week, we realized that we all have so many things in our lives to be thankful for. Each of the member of The White Dress by the shore gives their thanks below~

Lindsay (taken from her facebook post)~ "I am thankful for the warm thoughts and prayers. I am humbled and touched by all of them. They are truly comforting in a not so comfortable time."

Kelley~ "I am thankful for my friends and family that give me love and support everyday."

Alicia~ "I am thankful for having such a wonderful family, an incredible boyfriend, a fabulous group of supportive friends and the opportunity to live life to it's fullest. "

Flo~ " I am thankful for my wonderful husband and daughters."

Josie (I am paraphrasing as sweet Josie is so thankful for so many things)~ " I am very thankful for our angels and for my loving and joyful grandson Cristian. For my beautiful, loving daughters, I am so proud of them. For my loving, caring, and supporting husband. For my parents, my brothers and sisters, and my family. For my friends, and meeting new wonderful people everyday and learning from them. Thank you for all the people who have been willing to support and love me in my life. For our church, community, sisters, and for all who take the time to do God's word. Thank you for my job, for the air, for all the babies, and kids, elders, and animals, plants, and food. Thank you for five senses. Thank you for being in this country and its opportunities. Thank you for everything God has made."

Chris~ I am first thankful for my two children and my grandson for they are so much a part of my life, for they have given me hope and happiness in my life and I could not imagine what my life would be like without them in it. I am also thankful for my close friends who have been there for me through all the tough roads I have journeyed in my life, for everything happens for a reason in life, even if it is the loss of a loved one, for you have to look at the wonderful memories of that person you shared with them, for they become part of you and have a place in your heart forever. For everyone who has ever been there for me, I thank them and will always be there for them in return, for that is what friendship is truly about, being there for them in good times and bad. And for my family at work, for I have adopted yet another family, for I am truly blessed with so much, and for that I am thankful!

Beth~ "I am thankful for my supportive and loving family. I am thankful that I get to come to work every day and do something that I love. I am thankful that I am surrounded each day by beauty and by the most supportive and caring team that a person could ask for."

We hope that you all use tomorrow as a day to reflect on what you are thankful for.

Vintage Couture from Modern Trousseau

This past week I had the honor of styling Modern Trousseau's photo shoot for their next national ad campaign. The shoot took place in an amazing antique store in New Haven called The English Market. It was shot by Steve Depino and the stunning makeup was done by dd Nickel.

Modern Trousseau has granted us special permission to share these images before they grace the pages of Martha Stewart and Inside Weddings! We feel so honored!

wedding row wednesday ~ an event to remember

On Sunday we opened the doors for a celebration that brought together brides, friends, family and industry experts for a truly memorable day. We were celebrating the launch of 3 incredible new businesses and the beginning of a wonderful collaboration, called Wedding Row.

Wedding Row is an amazing place where brides can find Great Style in One Destination. Stretched between the historic properties of 104 East Main Street and 110 East Main Street (affectionately called The Red House), we have established a wedding community offering the best in events, bridal attire, lingerie, beauty, paper and design.

110 East Main Street houses the talents of True Event , a special event designer and Jennie Fresa Beauty Library. We are blessed to share 104 East Main Street with Stonington Design and Paperie and Beneath the Gown the newly launched lingerie and foundation boutique.

We feel so incredibly blessed to have such wonderful friends in the industry that supported us in this huge celebration~ to toast with us as guests and as sponsors of the event. We thank all of the event sponsors below for making Sunday a huge success.

  • Betty Parri of Perfect Parties, and her amazing crew crafted an incredible display of stationary and passed savory Hors D'oeuvres and sweet treats throughout the afternoon. Also showcasing the talents of her in house pastry chef, with a gorgeous collection of cakes that were designed and presented in the spirit of the four seasons.

  • The uber talented, Yumiko of Hana Floral Design, totally went above and beyond to decorate each one of our spaces and the tent. The arrangements were crafted in the theme and design of each space and season. Absolutely gorgeous!

  • Geof Gordon of Photobooth Planet kept the crowd entertained as they got together to take photos in his old school, fabulous photobooth. A huge hit at every event and defiantly the talk of this one!

  • Chamard Vineyards treated guests to a tasting of their impressive portfolio of local wines. The winery is just a short trip up the road from Wedding Row.

  • Rentals Unlimited provided the fabulous linens and rentals throughout the properties and Sperry Tents set up two of their tents in between the houses, showcasing their gorgeous blue star tent.

  • Elan Artists and the talented ladies of Loukoum, an accordion and violin/cello duo, played as guests came in and out of the tent. They were not only absolutely adorable and super sweet but the sound that they created was brilliant. With a unique sound and combination of instruments they are the perfect accent of music for any special occasion and we were so lucky to have them be a part of our opening.

  • Lastly a huge thank you to Anna Sawin who captured all of the details so perfectly in a portfolio of pictures that will always mark November 1st as a day to remember.

Continue to follow our blog for additional special events at Wedding Row!
